A portfolio of commissions created by Dr Rupert Williamson, designer artist of bespoke furniture, showing work that has been collected by museums and private customers. The items include chairs, tables, desks, bookcases, writing desks, public art, reception desks, and jewellery cabinets. Some are more sculptural than functional, but all are designed with input from the customer.

All commissions are developed with the customers interiors and ideas, so whether you would like something simple and functional or more sculptural, a one off piece of furniture can be evolved.

The function and the material are the fundamental base of all projects however sculptural they may seem. The chairs are comfortable and the cupboards work well for their use.Wood is my basic material in all its forms, from solid wood to man made boards. The wood can be left in its sawn cut condition or highly polished, the boards veneered. I use the natural colours of wood contrasting and complimenting their shades and textures, only using polish to protect the material.

The furniture is custom designed to relate to the customers interior. All the pieces are one-off creations, but if there is a piece that you particularly like, Rupert Williamson will base a new design on the same theme.
